Cancelation Policy

Effective March 9, 2019; Last Updated February 12, 2022

We understand that things happen and, if you’re unable to attend a training program, EAL Academy will accommodate your change as best we can based on the information provided here while considering the specific circumstances of your situation.

EAL Academy makes all marketing and expense decisions based on those that have registered. Because we train in small groups, there's a financial impact when there's a cancelation when we no longer have time to market or we've made financial commitments with expenses.

Please email EAL Academy at staff@EALAcademy.com if you need to cancel your registration. A request for a refund or to transfer to another training must be made in writing.

You may transfer or reschedule your training registration as follows:
  • If the training program is considered full by EAL Academy without your registration, then your registration can be transferred to a future training, provided the future training occurs within 18 months from the original training date without an administrative fee. If the training program is not considered full by EAL Academy without your registration, then specific circumstances will be considered.
  • You can transfer your registration to another person for the same training program or a future one, less $97 administrative fee for processing plus an additional fee if the training curriculum has been provided ($247 for the Certification and $147 for the Mindfulness training curriculum). Certification training transfers to another person must be for the entire program; daily substitution is not permitted.
You may cancel your training registration as follows:
  • Almost Full Refund: If cancellation is received in writing 42 or more days prior to the training start date, you'll be refunded the full amount paid less $97 administrative fee.
  • Partial Refund: If cancellation is received in writing between 21 and 41 days prior to the training start date, you'll be refunded 50% of the full amount paid. You'll have the training curriculum. Both EAL Academy's and your specific circumstances will be considered. If you had a payment plan, your refund would reflect the training cost, not the amount paid.
  • No Refund: If cancellation is received in writing less than 21 days prior to the training start date, there is no refund. Both EAL Academy's and your specific circumstances will be considered.

EAL Academy reserves the right to cancel any training program, change program location, and change instructors. If a training program is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, that decision will be made no later than 5 weeks before the in-person training start date and 3 weeks before the virtual training start date. If we cancel a training program for any reason, EAL Academy will provide you with the option to participate in a future training program or refund the full amount paid.

EAL Academy is not responsible for any fees or expenses incurred related to cancellation or non-refundable travel expenses (airline reservations, rental car reservation, hotel reservations, etc.).

Note: For webinars and virtual programs, recordings and materials are provided to all that register.
